ABOUT PHÉLAN

Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Phélan is sprouted from a tradition of seasoned vocalists and southern twang. He attended performing arts schools honing his talents until later when his family moved to Dallas, TX. At 12 years old he signed his first deal with a major production company and released his debut single "Thinking of You" with modest local success. At 18, he joined the R & B trio Confidential. Performing at local venues such as the Texas Idol competition, the group quickly became a fan favorite eventually catching the eyes of producers Don Vito, Nokio from Dru Hill, and Usher. Phelan later went on to get signed to the Rick Ross imprint Maybach Music where he wrote and produced songs with production force The Tranzformerz. After writing for several artists such as Tedashii, Trina, and Rick Ross, Phélan is now embarking on his solo career.
"Writing for other artist is truly a joy, but I've always known being an artist is my calling." With R & B as Phélan 's core genre, his vocals include gospel, jazz, and soul influences. When he sings one notices a unique southern flair. "R & B music is supposed to make you feel something. Be it joy, pain, or even frustration, but never apathy." As Phélan embarks on his new endeavor to share his music with the fans around the world he hopes he can make listeners dance, sing at the top of their lungs, and most importantly feel again.
